The IQF Level 2 Certified Strength and Conditioning Instructor is the first major step on the IUSCA Practitioner Pathway and provides all the necessary prerequisites for working in the fitness or sports sector. It develops the required underlying scientific principles and teaches you how to coach them safely and effectively.

Welcome to the IUSCA IQF Level 2 Certified Strength and Conditioning Instructor course.

 

This is a comprehensive, entry-level qualification designed to establish foundational competencies in strength and conditioning (S&C). This certification is widely recognized as the essential standard for meeting health and safety (H&S) requirements and legal liability guidelines, making it a key qualification for employment in gyms, fitness centres, and sports clubs.

This qualification prepares you for roles such as Fitness Instructor, Assistant S&C Coach, S&C Intern, Sports Coach, or Physiotherapist/Athletic Trainer, equipping you with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed.

The online course curriculum provides in-depth training in anatomy, physiology, psychology, biomechanics, and nutrition, alongside the scientific principles underlying effective program design and implementation. Through a blend of guided online learning, instructional video tutorials, and structured assessments, you'll gain a solid foundation in S&C that prepares you for real-world application.

Assessment is based on a multiple-choice exam, a case study, practical demonstration, and extensive reflective practice, ensuring you’re fully equipped to apply your learning in professional settings. The course spans approximately 128 total learning hours (TLH), including 48 guided learning hours (GLH) and an additional 80 hours of independent study and assessment.

Upon successful completion, you will receive an IQF Level 2 Certificate in Strength and Conditioning, awarding you the trademarked title of IUSCA IQF Level 2 Certified Strength and Conditioning Instructor, signifying your readiness to work in the field.
